My
Approach

Psychodynamic · Relational · In-Person · Union Square, NYC

Guided by openness,
care, and
humor.

My therapeutic approach is guided by openness, care, and humor, and informed by psychodynamic and psychoanalytic thinking. Following your lead, we'll delve into the underlying factors that contribute to your challenges.

Using an individualized and dynamic approach tailored to you, we'll work collaboratively and relationally, exploring your present and pressing concerns. As unresolved issues or overlooked emotional needs surface in the therapeutic process, I'll attend alongside you — following your lead.

Therapy works best when it feels less like a consultation and more like a genuine working relationship — one where you're met with curiosity rather than judgment, and where the unexpected is welcome.

I work differently with each person. Some clients come weekly; others come more frequently as the work deepens. I follow your lead on pace and depth, and I stay genuinely engaged with what matters to you.

What I can offer is a private, consistent, in-person space in Union Square where you can say the things you haven't been able to say elsewhere — and where saying them actually changes something.

The foundation of
our work together

01

Deep Listening

I listen without preconceived notions, attending to what you say and what remains unsaid — and to the questions worth asking that you haven't yet thought to ask yourself.

02

Relational at Heart

The therapeutic relationship is the medium of change — not just a container for techniques. What happens between us in the room is as important as what we talk about.

03

Psychoanalytic Thinking

Informed by object relations and relational psychoanalysis — attending to the patterns beneath the surface that quietly shape your present.

04

Tailored to You

There's no predetermined protocol here. The pace, depth, and focus of our work follows your lead and evolves as you do — session by session, over time. What works is what works for you.

Why meeting
in person
matters.

In a city like New York, where stress and anxiety are part of daily life, the need for genuine human connection is more crucial than ever. In-person therapy at my Union Square office offers something virtual sessions simply can't replicate — a deeper level of engagement, attunement, and presence.

As your therapist, I can pick up on non-verbal cues, body language, and tone of voice — all of which provide valuable insights that may be missed in a virtual setting. This real-time feedback enhances the psychodynamic process and fosters a stronger therapeutic bond, one that becomes the engine of lasting change.

I prioritize offering a private and confidential space where you feel comfortable and secure enough to explore your innermost thoughts and emotions.

A genuine working relationship

From the beginning of treatment in my Union Square practice, I'll work collaboratively and relationally alongside you — as a real participant in your growth, not a blank screen.

Openness without judgment

Therapy with me is a space to say the things you haven't been able to say elsewhere. I bring warmth, humor, and genuine curiosity to every session.

Lasting, meaningful change

The goal isn't just symptom relief — it's deeper self-understanding, richer relationships, and a life that feels more authentically yours.
